THE RASTERIZED LAND                                                                                     back

Fences, grids and enclosures are everywhere: we observe our surroundings through a viewing grid, our gaze is controlled by a pattern of lines and angles. Through a grid we look at nature, at living beings of all kinds,  the landscape is often contained in a crossing of lines. Fences with various patterns and meshes follow each other: Flanders has become a large polycentric grid. Photography: Bernadette Vandecatsye
